Lizard Light

Lizard Light was inspired by a cliff path walk past the stunning Lizard Lighthouse whilst I was resident artist at the lovely little Polpeor Studio back in April. It sits majestically on grassy banks above the most outstanding natural flora - which I’ve attempted to capture here! The first Lizard Light was built here in 1619 and the current building dates from 1751. The Light was automated and became unmanned in 1998, but remains a very welcome sight for those returning from distant waters
